Description
With over 5000 species, ammonites were the most diverse group of cephalopods. Their shells were usually spirally curled and resembled a ram's horn. They appeared in the primeval sea around 390 million years ago and became extinct at the end of the Cretaceous period 65 million years ago like the dinosaurs. They ranged in size from a few centimetres to an impressive three metres in diameter. The BULLYLAND figure is naturalistically hand-painted and approx. 9 cm high. Age: from 3 years.
