Description
The buzzard is a bird of prey from the hawk family and the most common representative of this family in Central Europe. It is medium-sized and compact, its plumage is very variable from dark brown to almost white. It can often be seen soaring in circles or hunting from a hide. Its habitat is open landscapes such as meadows, fields or heathland with neighbouring woodland, where it also builds its nest.
