Description
The female domestic cow is called a cow. Cows are herd animals and live outdoors in summer. They eat and digest almost all day long. They spend the winter in the warm barn, where they are fed hay and grain. Cows eat more than 50 kg of grass per day and can drink up to 180 litres of water. They can therefore also give up to 30 litres of milk a day, i.e. they are milked up to twice a day. The cow gives milk to suckle her calf.
